Description
The BEA FALCON EX (10FALCONEX100) is a microwave motion sensor in an explosion-proof / flame-proof housing with a 100 ft cable. It activates industrial doors and gates in hazardous areas such as chemical plants, petroleum refining, and agriculture. It mounts 11.5 to 23 ft high and runs on 12 to 24 VAC or VDC. Typical detection zone is 13 x 16 ft at a 16 ft mounting height.
Inside is the FALCON 24.150 GHz Doppler radar with bidirectional, unidirectional approach, and unidirectional depart modes and filtering for pedestrian and cross-traffic rejection. The housing is copper-free aluminum, UL listed for Class I Groups B, C, D; Class II Groups E, F, G; and Class III, and rated NEMA 4X, 7BCD, 9EFG and IP66. It works from -22 to 140 °F. Housing size is 9 x 7.5 x 5.5 in, about 10 lb.

- The 100 in the part number is the 100 ft cable. BEA's standard EX models ship with 30 ft.
- Cable diameter is 1/4 in max; plan conduit and seals to suit your hazardous-location wiring method.
- Other explosion-proof versions: FALCON EX XL (10FALCONEXXL100): 6.5 to 11.5 ft; FALCON EX WIDE (10FALCONEXW100): 11.5 to 21 ft, wide field.
