Description

The Diablo Controls DSP-21-117 is a two channel directional logic counting detector for a pair of inductive loops. It is the 117 VAC version, with relay outputs and an 11-pin connector.

It counts vehicles by direction and handles tailgating, back-outs and parking maneuvers. Only the loop frequency needs setting; the detector adjusts for loop size and vehicle type and learns from each vehicle it counts. Count data is saved through power loss. Selectable counting modes and a counting test mode are built in. A self-resetting fuse protects against wrong-voltage hookup. Loop inductance range is 20 to 1500 µH. It operates from -35°F to 165°F.

Before You Order

  • Best accuracy with two loops of the same size, 2 to 4 ft apart, in the same lane.
  • Diablo DSP-21 versions: NO (normally open relays), NC (normally closed relays), SS (solid-state).
  • High accuracy directional counting; tailgating, back-outs and parking maneuvers are identified and handled correctly | Analyzes every vehicle to train itself to count vehicles | Vehicle analysis information is saved in case of power loss and reused on power up | Selectable counting modes | Counting test mode | Advanced channel scanning technology with superior noise tolerance | 117 VAC operation | Flicker display shows occupancy of the detection zone after a pulse output
  • Loop Inductance: 20 µH to 1500 µH (including lead-in inductance)
  • Operating Temperature: -35 to 165°F (-37 to 74°C)
  • Operating Voltages: Relay: 10.5 to 35 VDC, 9 to 28 VAC; solid-state: 7.5 to 35 VDC, 6 to 28 VAC
  • Operating Current: Relay: 120 mA maximum, 25 mA typical; solid-state: 65 mA maximum, 25 mA typical
  • Output Ratings: Relay: 1 A @ 125 V; solid state: 50 mA @ 30 V
  • Pulse Output: 150 ms on period followed by a 150 ms off period before the next pulse can begin
  • Response Time: 150 ms ±25 ms
  • Housing Size: 2.36 in (H) x 1.75 in (W) x 4.09 in (D)
