Description
Durant STAT-A-FLEX is a two-part polyester resin loop sealant sold in a 1 gallon can. Each gallon includes MEKP hardener (catalyst). It fills the saw cut and encapsulates traffic loop wire, signal wire and data cable in asphalt or concrete.
Mix the resin about 1 minute with a power mixer, add the hardener and mix 2 more minutes. At 77°F gel time is 10 to 20 minutes, tack-free time is 15 to 25 minutes and full cure is 45 to 60 minutes. The amount of hardener changes the dry time, and Durant sells an accelerator for cold weather. The cured seal resists road salts, acids, brake fluid, oil, gasoline and jet fuel. STAT-A-FLEX is approved by most state DOTs for public roadway work.
