Description
The AES EL00C-RAD-K is the e-Loop Commercial wireless vehicle detection kit for presence mode. It pairs the EL00C-RAD magnetometer and radar sensor with an ETRANS50 e-Trans 50 transceiver. The sensor bolts to the surface in the middle of the lane with dyna bolts, and vehicles drive over it. The transceiver relay stays latched while a vehicle is over the sensor. No saw cuts or trenching.
Detection starts with a 3-axis magnetometer. Once a vehicle is detected, the transceiver relay latches and the radar (60° field of view, 2 to 6.5 ft read distance) checks whether the vehicle is still over the sensor. The relay releases only when the radar sees the lane clear, with two-way confirmation between sensor and transceiver. Dead zone, sensor distance, sensitivity and magnetic release level are set with the AES e-Diagnostics remote. Battery life is up to 6 years per AES, depending on traffic and radar settings. The housing is 8.7 x 8.7 x 1.0 in (220 x 220 x 26 mm), weighs 2.2 lb (1,000 g), is rated IP68 and has a 10 tonne static load rating. It runs on 4 x 3.6 V replaceable lithium cells (2,700 mAh each). The radio link is 433.39 MHz with 128-bit AES encryption, with range up to 164 ft (50 m). Operating temperature is -4°F to 176°F. The ETRANS50 runs on 10-36 VDC per the AES data sheet and has one relay output (COM and N/O, 1 A) that wires to the open input of the gate operator.

Before You Order
- Complete kit. The EL00C-RAD listing is the sensor only, for adding a sensor to an existing e-Trans transceiver.
- Presence mode holds the relay while a vehicle is over the sensor. AES says not to use presence mode as a personal safety device.
- Radar settings are adjusted with the AES e-Diagnostics remote, sold separately.
- AES rates the ETRANS50 for indoor use. Mount it inside the operator or in a weatherproof plastic box.
- This kit replaces the discontinued EL00M-RAD-K e-Loop Mini presence kit.
- Do not mount near high-voltage cables. They can affect detection.
