Description
The Cartell CP4-200 is a CP-4 hard-wired free exit system with a 200 ft cable. A self-contained magnetometer probe is buried beside the driveway and opens the gate when a vehicle drives out. It wires straight to the operator's free exit input with no separate detector board, and it works on AC, DC and solar gate operators.
The probe reacts only to moving steel, not to people, animals, heat or pressure. Power is 8-24 VAC or 8-30 VDC. Standby draw is 30-70 µA, which keeps solar battery drain low. The output is an SPDT (Form C) floating relay, N.O. or N.C., rated 1 A at 24 VDC, with a 2-3 second relay time. Sensitivity is set with DIP switches: high detects at 12-14 ft, medium at 6-8 ft and low at 2-4 ft for a vehicle at 5 MPH. The housing is conduit-ready and the cable uses standard wire colors.
Before You Order
- Cable length: 200 ft. CP-4 is also sold with 100, 200 and 300 ft cables (CP4-100, CP4-200, CP4-300).
- Cartell recommends placing the probe 80-100 ft back from the gate operator and burying it 5-8 in deep.
- Run the cable in conduit. Cartell voids the warranty if it is not.
- Keep the probe 6-10 ft from buried power, phone or pet fence lines and 10 ft from gas lines.
- CP-4 is not a safety device. Install separate entrapment protection on the gate.
